| More Miata than Z's, and Prob. More Miata's at tracks than z's. And they had to wait to have some random/sketchy guy make a better oil pump/gears. For most companys it comes down to making money. If a company was to make a oil pump for the Z, they prob. wouldn't sell that many. And if they did the cost would be pretty high. On top of that most Z owners are picky ( me included ) on what they put on there car. To much of a headache and money to replace cheap/crappy parts. I get what your saying I do. But what EPR is offering is a Stock oil pump that has had the housing de-burred and cleaned ( no special gears that he made ) just a de-burred and polished housing. I have read and heard enough to know that de-burring and polishing is good for something like the oil/water system. Now does his flow better? In theory it should. Does it? Sh*t if I know, but im confident that its improving flow. I remember someone posting (can't remember who), but there Brand spanking new OEM stock oil pump had some kind of crap in it. Think it was post a year or 2 ago. So even a new oem pump should be checked and possibly cleaned.
And the oil line thing . . . . really? There's no info anywhere saying that a ported/unrestricted turbo oil line is better. There is info just about everywhere saying a ported oil pump is. I have know clue what it would cost to have a oil pump tested, But if there was some hard data im confident that it would show an improvement.
